Saw Johnny finished subbing Ace wo Nerae 2 but noticed there's quite the time gap between the og '73 TV series and Ace wo Nerae 2... anyone know a good way to catch up on what happens in between the two? Chapter summaries? Videos?

The time gap is just because the OVAs were made during a more recent time period, but they're the direct sequel of the tv series, which differs from the manga. There's a movie, but it's basically a partial recap of the series (more similar to the manga though).

Ah, so what you're saying is that the 3 year time gap mentioned at the beginning of Ace wo Nerae 2 is present in the manga as well and that I'm not missing anything that happened in the manga?

Nome of the AWN anime adaptations covers the entire manga, and the OVAs are filler material which doesn't exist in the manga.

Ace wo Nerae is the original series. Shin Ace wo Nerae is a shorter reboot (which adds another ending). The movie sums up Shin Ace wo Nerae. Ace wo Nerae 2 is after the originals series (the OVA 02 is the end of the movie). Final Stage follows right after Ace wo Nerae 2.

Maybe my original post didn't make clear sense; I understand the order is Ace wo Nerae (1973), Shin AWN is a remake with a bit extra added on the end, then AWN 2 OVA is the sequel, and AWN Final Stage is the final sequel. I'm just wondering since they state "it's been three years since Hiromi..." and the beginning of AWN 2, I was wondering if there was anything they didn't adapt from the MANGA in between Ace wo Nerae 1973/Shin Ace wo Nerae and Ace wo Nerae 2 OVA. Hope that makes sense! Thanks for subbing Johnny.
