Shin Moomin is the second anime TV series adaptation and a remake to the 1969-70 Moomin series loosely based on the books by the Finnish illustrator and writer Tove Jansson. It was produced in 1972 by Mushi Production and broadcast on Fuji TV.

There was also an old character named Weather, who could forcast the weather, and his gliding friend Mingle, a young animal who was apparently an orphan.

Banner and the cat mother live together happily on the farm, but their happy life doesn`t last for long.
